What does Bury Hostel provide?
Beautiful Location
Your exclusive use of the hostel, equipped with everything you need for your group's time in the Lake District
Large Communal Area
The large communal area has a log burner and enough chairs and tables to allow you to use the space however you like, whether that be presenting and/or learning, eating together around a large table, getting together in small groups, or just gathering, chilling and having a laugh with your friends and colleagues.
You will need to supply your own logs and firelighters.
Well-equipped kitchen
The kitchen facilities allow cooking for large groups with a six-ring gas cooker, microwave, two toasters, fridge freezers and a significant amount of crockery, utensils and pans. There is a hot-water boiler which allows a continuous supply of hot water.
Washing-up liquid and tea towels are provided.
Drying room
The drying room is equipped with coat hooks and racks to get your equipment dry.
Bunk rooms
There are three bunkrooms on the first floor, each with their own toilet/shower room.

Together, the three first-floor bunk rooms provide 28 bed spaces, with two additional ground-floor bed spaces available.
Please note that bedding and pillows are not provided.
Shower Rooms
The shower rooms each have a toilet, washbasin and shower cubicle with an electric shower.
There are also two additional ground floor toilets.
Hand soap and toilet rolls are provided.
Accessibility
Two additional beds are provided in a curtained ground-floor sleeping area, close to an accessible toilet and shower room.
Parking & exterior facilities
There is parking for approximately 8-10 cars. A limited number of minibuses can be parked.
There is an external storage area for bikes, canoes and other equipment and a hosepipe which can be used as a washdown point.
The external storage area is locked and the key must be requested in advance.
Central Heating & Wi-Fi
As well as the cosy log burner, the hostel is equipped with central heating throughout.
Wi-Fi is available, although speeds and reliability may vary because of the hostel’s remote location.
Layout
The hostel is over two floors, with the lower floor being the communal and accessible areas and the upper floor being the bunkrooms.
